On Sunday Myself and Hans could not find any crew so we went out to Direction Bank which is about a 40min trip to the north of Perth. When we got there it was a little bit slow to start for about the first 20 mins or so but we decided to persist. This persistence paid off and in about an hour we had 4 nice "local" Mackies. The water was a bit spooky being a touch dirty, but the Mackies just kept on coming around. There were some schools of fish that were very big with upwards of 30 fish in each of the schools, with nice size fish. One big Whaler shark which seems to be a resident to this spot as we have seen him out there several times now came rushing up from 30m below, which got the adrenalin going especially after Hans' shark experience less then a month ago. We were lucky however as he did not try to grab any of the fish!
We were trying to find more crew however nobody else was keen to go! How crazy is that so it was just the two old buggers I hope you enjoy the photos and feel free to leave some comments.
